Consultation Questions, Answered Before You Book

These are the questions prospects bring to the first call. Reading them here saves time for both sides. If your situation falls outside what is described, mention it in the consultation request and we will say whether it fits.

Who we work with

A defined offer, sold to a defined buyer

We work with U.S. professional services firms: consultancies, boutique agencies, and practices that sell a defined service to a defined buyer. The common factor is an offer that already works in conversation. If you are pre-launch or your service is still being defined, we are not the right starting point.

About the practice

Inside an engagement

What the work covers

Most engagements cover a page audit, a written scope, page copy and structure, proof placement, and a lead form specification. Building is optional and can be handled by us or your own developer. Ongoing content support is available afterward but is not required to start.

Page audit

A read of the pages you already run: where the offer is stated, where a prospect has to guess, and where the next step is buried.

Written scope

A document naming what is included, what sits outside, and the estimate for the first cycle. You can approve part of it.

Copy and structure

Section order, headings, and page copy written against the questions real clients ask, not a generic outline.

Proof and lead form

Where proof belongs on the page, and a specification for the form fields your team will actually follow up on.

Cost and schedule

Estimates follow the scope, not the other way round

Cost and how estimates work

Pricing depends on scope. After the intake call you receive a written scope with a fixed estimate for the first cycle. You can approve part of it. We do not bill for revision rounds that fall within the agreed scope, and there are no charges before you approve the document.

Timelines

A single-page engagement usually runs two to four weeks from kickoff. Multi-page work depends on how much source material exists and how quickly reviews happen. The schedule is stated in the scope, and we flag it if a review cycle starts to slip.

What you provide

One decision-maker available for reviews, access to your existing content and review profiles, and honest input about what clients actually ask. That is the full list. We do not require an onboarding document or standing meetings beyond the cycle reviews.

Confidential material

If your project involves sensitive client material, we generalize identifying details while keeping the operational constraint intact. Generalized case studies are labeled as such, and we do not publish composites presented as single client stories.

Questions we hear most often

What happens after I submit the consultation request?

Submit the consultation request on the contact page with one or two sentences about your offer. You receive a confirmation, then a scheduled call, usually within a few business days. If your onboarding involves engagement letters, we can review the signing step as part of the intake. There is no obligation to proceed after the call.

Do we need to be in the same city or time zone to work together?

The practice works remotely with clients nationwide. Calls are scheduled during normal business hours in your time zone, and some engagements run asynchronously after the intake. There is no requirement to be in a specific city or state.

Can we run the project without a standing weekly meeting?

Yes. The cycle reviews named in the scope are the working rhythm. Between them, updates go out in writing, and you can reply when it suits your schedule. If a review needs a call instead of a document, we will say so in advance.

Can our own developer do the build instead of yours?

That is a normal arrangement. The scope hands off copy, structure, proof placement, and the form specification in a form a developer can implement. If your developer has questions about intent, we answer them during the engagement rather than leaving them to interpret the document alone.

What if only part of the scope applies to us?

Approve the part that fits. A practice that already has strong copy may only want the audit, the proof placement plan, and the form specification. The scope is written so the sections can stand apart without the rest of the engagement attached.

Generalized case material is labeled when it stands in for a client story. Detail is kept intact where the operational constraint matters; identifying specifics are adjusted.

Still deciding

Read two more pages before you write to us

Our process page walks the full cycle from intake call to written scope to review. The case studies page shows how engagements are presented when client details have to stay generalized. Between them you should be able to tell whether your situation fits.

Next step

One sentence about your offer is enough to start

Send the request with a short description of what you sell and who buys it. You get a confirmation, then a call scheduled during business hours in your time zone. If the answers above already told you we are not a fit, that is a useful outcome too.
